Sorry it’s been awhile. I’ve been grieving my dad which is incredibly difficult when you are living in the same room as everyone. But the more I keep busy the easier it gets.
We are officially all out of quarantine. Tyler got his results back on day 14 which made testing to get out a week early completely pointless. But it was negative and we are in the clear. Still staying very safe and away from as many people as possible to keep the spread down.
Yesterday I discovered a hidden trail through the woods that connected the north side of the camp to the south side and that pretty much peaked RV life excitement for me.
We also have started to experience the cold. It fluctuates but we’ve had a couple nights below freezing and one entire day in the freezing temps. We did what we could find to keep the pipes and tanks warm but the water hose ended up freezing and we couldn’t hook it up until it thawed, leaving us with no water for awhile. We got ourselves a warming hose for future freezes.
Had some social hour watching a Christmas movie virtually with my sister. With cookies and cocoa. Holidate was cute but not family friendly. Not a lot of Christmas but it made it a good beginning of the season movie.
We also discovered blueberries of unusual size. Which apparently isn’t normal Vermont size, but I find that fact disappointing so I’m telling myself Vermont injects their blueberries with whatever Florida puts in their cockroaches. And this thought makes more sense to me than these chunk monkey berries coming from far off lands.
We are racing time looking for a house. Not only temps dropping, but also potential lockdowns. However, getting an agent to work with us right now is proving difficult. They are particular about what houses they want to show us and how they want to do it and are not the fastest at arranging viewings. That and waiting for Tyler’s results made house hunting start longer than we anticipated. But we are starting today.
Mostly we are taking things day by day. Keeping our eye on the end game.
