As temps hit -2 degrees last night thanks to a Nor’easter that came through, I finally understand the “cold” everyone describes Vermont as! Fortunately it’s not a consistent cold and will be warming back up to normal December temps for a bit! But for now it means finding more things to keep me busy and pass the time indoors.
Like reading!
Every year I try to grab a Christmas book to read during the holidays. This year I randomly came across a book about a woman living in a camper with her cats while her house gets built. I kid you not. And at $3 I had to get it. As far as books go, it’s pretty terrible. But I’m enjoying every bit of it.

I Grabbed the perfect ornament to represent this year. Especially since we’ve trained the kids to say “the (tw)itter’s full” when the tank is ready to dump! I like how the rusty bottom reminds me of the RV that caught fire and our whole adventure could probably be the plot of a National lampoons movie. Also, apparently the actor who played cousin Eddy lives in Vermont. Lol

My cat has insisted on slipping under my tree and playing with the ornaments from the backside. Although the ornaments are well attached and shatterproof, I don’t want to encourage bad habits. After careful daily crafting I have finally achieved the perfect cat proof barrier of presents around the tree. (Insert evil laugh). #5bucksTheyGetPastItByTonight
