RV memoirs: sometimes you just need a pity party

Dec 2, 2020

Thank you all for your support during last nights pity party. Sometimes you just need sometime to feel sorry for yourself before you can move forward.

Today we came to a verbal agreement with the sellers and are just awaiting their signature on the contract. This property was an inheritance given to the owners 8 kids so we have to have signatures from 8 people at each point along the way. But they are due to have that all in by tomorrow.

Today I was assigned to making phone calls to find inspectors that can get to the property in a time,y manner. However, my person to person phone skills are incredibly lacking. At one point, the realtor called me to set me up for tracking down an inspector and as soon as I hung up I texted Tyler.

Me: I’m supposed to find an inspector and I have no idea what I’m doing.

Tyler: get ahold of Rachel (agent) and ask her the details of what you need to find out.

Me: um. I just got off the phone with her and I’m still clueless. My phone communication skills are pretty much communicate in the most limited way in order to get off the phone as quickly as possible.

That said, I was able to get inspections for Friday and Monday! And my agent thinks I’m magical. So things are coming up milhouse! Owning a country farmhouse means a lot more inspections than we are used to. So it’s been a learning process.

One thing at a time. Trucking along. And whatever happens, we figure it out.
